KONCEPT:
Vse projekcije so neplačljive, in predvajane v dogovoru z avtorji.

Opening of Cyberpipe Cinema was on February 28th and the second part of it on March 1st. It was marked by the Slovenian female film artists who, over the years, proved themselves with very succesful film productions and with high scores on film festivals in Slovenia and abroad, but they still stay in the shadow of their mail coleges. We presented following authors and films: Eva Petrič (White box), Hanna A.W. Slak (Sonolog), Nika Autor (Solidarity, In the Land of Bears), Marina Gržinić and Aina Šmid (Obsession), Sabina Đogić (Diary from an island), Polona Sepe (Fly, fly woman), Bare Kolenc and Atej Tutta (Studio). A week later, on International Women's Day (March 8th), we co-operated with International feminist and q***r festival Red Dawns and presented three films which provide a starting point for consideration about biological and social gender, and LGBT individuals. We presented the following authors and films: Vika Kirchenbauer film Like »Rats Leaving the Sinking Ship« and two films by Iztok Klančar – »My Men« and »Anna lives in Berlin«. On 14th and 15th of March Cyberpipe Cinema collaborated with Radio Student and hosted Festival Tresk. On 21th March we presented a short film of a young and very gifted author Sara Kern, »Max« and film directed by Polona Sepe »Letters from Egypt«. The last week of March we presented film »Franja«, directed by Jasna Hribernik. In June we are attending a video workshops in collaboration with K4. We will explore open source programing in purpose of editing and VJing. The main purpose of workshop is to enable all who are interested in making videos and Vjing for their own production. The second purpose is to explore open source programmes, to learn how to use it and to give constructive feedback to developers. Each month will be conceptually colored with specific topic. If March was dedicated to female authors, April will be marked with young filmmakers (born in 80s). We will present films of the directors: Živa Petrič, Diego Menendes, Katarina Morano, Eva Petrič, Maja Prelog, Christian Herrera, and Tereza Adamkova. At the end of the month we will host newspaper Tribuna who is organising a lecture with a title Resistance aestheticisation resistance (lecturing duo Kitch). In May we will host Balkan directors (film creations of Romanian, Croatian and Macedonian directors). June will be characterized by tolerance. We will co-operate with Migrant Film Festival (from 10th June to 20th June) and Pride Parade (from 8th June to 15th June). During the Pride Parade week we will offer a lot of cultural events. You can also expect competition for best short film with LGBT topic and has not yet been shown on any sreen. Films will be judged by a professional jury, the best three of them will be presented during the week of Pride Parade. Cyberpipe Cinema wants to become a place where is actively debated about film and film proffesions by first hand in an informal film spirit. All events will also be meant for socializing and networking, we will slip in the world which is opening on the other side of screens, in the area where the realisation of a film begins. Cyberpipe Cinema team tends mostly to open up a place, which will not reduce film to a certain genre or length, but is open to all video and film formats, from pure experimental to classical narrative. The emphasis in the selection of films will base exclusively on quality, innovation and the power of social criticism and not on the personal circumstances of the filmmakers themselves. We want to go hand in hand with time and create a concept in our programe, called a gender free zone, where all genders, social and biological, feel welcome. Since Cyberpipe is primarily a place dedicated to the development, recognition and education of open source technology, therefore open source software, we also want to create a place where filmmakers, audience and the film industry can face in a way that allows open debate on the future of copyright, alternative financing methods and the use of an open source software in the very process of creating, producing and re-interpretation of the films. All projections are for free and presented in the agreements with authors.
