We’ve been part of the UPBEAT Platform family for a while now, and it has been a continuous process of learning, listening, and exchanging ideas. Artists supported by Upbeat across all partner festivals are considered for a final nomination, with the goal of promoting them widely and shining a spotlight on emerging talent from the so-called global music scene.

Here are the 10 nominees, selected by a jury consisting of Almir Mešković, Duygu Mühürdar, Márton Sütheő, and Vasil Gjuroski.

We’re especially happy to see two artists who have performed at MENT on the list. Hi Ão and Gordan! And it’s exciting to see such a strong lineup overall.

A key part of the Upbeat initiative is including you, the audience. The final stage is a public vote, a chance for you to discover fresh sounds and support your favorites.
