The spirit of Labbaykallāh humma labbayk!
(Here we are, O Allah, answering Your call!)

The days of Hajj may be passing, the spirit of answering Allah's call, nurturing love for Him, and strengthening our connection to His Beloved Messenger ﷺ remains alive in our hearts.

In this spirit, our Children-Led Mawlid returns, Alhamdulillāh.

Join us for an evening of mawlid recitations, qasīdahs, storytelling, quizzes, and prayers led by children, for children.

As they gather in remembrance and express their love for the Prophet ﷺ, may their hearts be strengthened with faith, adab, and a deep connection to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.

Bring your children, family, and loved ones, and let us spend a beautiful evening together in remembrance, salawāt, and gratitude for the blessings of this sacred season.

Tomorrow (26 May 2026) will be the day of ‘Arafah, 9th Zulhijjah. As reminded in our post sometime last week, we should all try to fast on it. Let’s spend the day in remembrance of Allah, and in constant supplication towards Him.

The companion Abu Qatada (R.A) related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Fasting the Day of `Arafah [9th Zulhijjah] expiates for two years, one prior and one forthcoming.” [Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah]

Our beloved Prophet ﷺ also said, “The best of supplications are those on the Day of `Arafah.” [Tirmidhi, Ahmad, Malik, and others]

The best supplication we can make for ‘Arafah can be found here: muwasala.org/2019/08/07/the-best-prayer-is-the-prayer-of-arafah/ -6061

While the Hajj pilgrims are blessed to be standing wuquf at ‘Arafah itself, Allah did not limit the special moment only for them. The blessings of the day extends to us as well, wherever else we may be. So grab the moment and make lots of Duas!

Additionally, we can start reciting the takbir after any prayers (fardhu, qabliyah, ishraq, dhuha, etc.), starting from after Subuh tomorrow (26th May) until Asar on 13th Zulhijjah (Saturday, 30th June).

The special window where we can recite it 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙮 (not tagged to prayers) is from Maghrib tomorrow, which is the night of ‘Eidul Adha, and ends when the Imam starts the ‘Eid Prayers the following day. Join us as we do so together at Revamp in festive spirit! (Details in comments)

The text for Takbir can be found here: revamp.sg/takbir-of-eid

May we make the most of this special day or ‘Arafah.
May we all be amongst those invited for Hajj soon.
May He accept from all of us!

We are in the early days of the sacred month of Zulhiijah. In a few days’ time, the blessed pilgirms in Makkah will begin their Hajj rites, leading up to the peak days of ‘Arafah (26 May), ‘Eidul Adha (27 May), followed by the days of Tashriq (28-30 May).

All these are sacred events, and we in Singapore, despite not performing the Hajj, can still honour and observe them through acts like fasting, Qurban, Takbir, and silaturrahmi (visiting during ‘Eidul Adha).

It is also highly recommended to enliven the night of ‘Eidul Adha, meaning spending whatever time we are able in worship and remembrance such that the night comes alive. The least we should do is to pray Maghrib, Isha and Fajr in congregation. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that whoever gives life to the nights before the two Eids, Allah will give life to his heart on the day when hearts die. (Ibn Majah)

He ﷺ also said, “There are five nights on which dua is not rejected: the first night of Rajab, the fifteenth night of Sha’ban, Thursday night, the night before Eid al-Fitr and the night before Eid al-Nahr (al-Adha).” (At-Tabarani)

That is why Revamp has been consistently holding gatherings on the nights of ‘Eids. And this year won’t be any different. Join us on 26th May 7 PM onwards where will we break our fast (for those fasting the day of ‘Arafah) and have dinner together, pray Maghrib and Isha’ in jemaah, supplicate for our oppressed brothers and sisters, listen to Qasidahs, play fire sparkles for kids, and most uniquely, recite the Takbir together. (revamp.sg/takbir-of-eid)

We can recite the Takbir continuously non-stop that night, whereas once the ‘Eid prayers has been performed the following morning, we can only recite them after prayers (on the proceeding days of Tashriq).

Ultimately, we intend that all these will count as us fulfilling the Sunnah and honouring the moments which Allah (ﷻ) sanctifies. Hope you can join us for it!

May Allah allow us to take full benefit of these blessed days.
May He protect and accept the pilgrims doing their Hajj.
May we all be amongst those invited for Hajj soon.

Tonight at the azan of Maghrib, we will be entering the sacred month of Zulhijjah.

The tongue of Prophethood ﷺ informed us: “The best days of this world are the ten days (referring to the first ten days of Zulhijjah).” He ﷺ said: “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” The companions (R.A) asked: “Not even Jihad?” He ﷺ replied: “Not even Jihad, except for a man who went out risking his wealth and his life and returned with nothing.”

Habib Umar bin Hafiz said, “The ten days have great virtues, and the ten days have special people. Some are honored by the ten days and some honor the ten days.

The who went out for Jihad and returned is surpassed by the one who devotes themselves to worship during these ten days in the sight of Allah (ﷻ)! “So during them frequently say your tasbeeh (Subhanallah), tahmeed (Alhamdulillah), tahleel (Laa ilaa ha illallah), and takbeer (Allahu akbar),” says the Prophet ﷺ.”

For most of us not performing the Hajj, we should try to fast the first 9 days of it, which is from tomorrow Monday (18 May) until Tues (26 May). If not, then maybe at the very least for us is to not miss out fasting one day on the day of Arafat itself (Tues, 26 May).

The Prophet ﷺ said that fasting on the day of Arafat wipes out the sins of the previous year and the year to come!

REMINDER: For those of us performing the Qurban, we have these last few hours for us to do our final self-grooming like cutting our fingernails and removing any hair from our body. Once we enter Zulhijjah (at maghrib), it is not recommended for us to do so until our animal of Qurban has been slaughtered (which is at least 10 days later 😅). This is to be in line with the Sunnah of our Beloved ﷺ ❤️

ADDITIONAL REMINDER: If you wish to perform the Qurban this upcoming ‘Eidul Adha but haven’t registered for one, you can visit revamp.sg/qurban

May Allah make it easy upon us to please Him.
May He accept from us all.
May He invite us to perform Hajj soon!

A glimpse from our children-led Mawlid held on 2 May 2026 at Masjid Al-Islah.

The children sang “Never Can We Repay”, an original piece written by Ustaz Aydarus reflecting on the love, sacrifices, and quiet efforts of our mothers and fathers.

Our children-led programmes aim to create meaningful and engaging spaces where children can participate, express themselves, build confidence, and grow up attached to positive gatherings and community experiences from a young age.

If any masjid, madrasah, or community space would like to host or collaborate with us for a children-led Mawlid or family-oriented programme, we would truly be honoured to be part of it, inshāAllāh.
