Last Sunday’s fundraiser was simply a beautiful experience!We sang and moved, laughed and teared as we once again stood in solidarity with Palestine as a community filled with love for humanity. A HUGE thank you to and for educating us about the art of Dikir Barat and leading us through an engaging, fun and meaningful session.

It is with hearts full of love and solidarity with the people of Palestine, we sang, danced, played music, shared conversations, cried and laughed, we came together and with every action we experienced a truly unforgettable night! Thank you Everyone who showed up and for being a part of this passionate and powerful community that we have created straight from our hearts. Thank you to all the beautiful performers and crew!! Thank you to the cute merchandise peeps!! Thank you to all who contributed your delicious recipes!! Thank you to Dream Academy and Selena Tan for the lovely space.

We’re thrilled to announce our next DABKE sesh!!
This time with food 🍉!!!!

Doubly excited to introduce .shadid Mahmoud is passionate about spreading the Palestinian culture through poetry and Dance; over the past ten years, he was part of the founding team of Jafra Dabke, a performance group in Australia that did cultural and wedding performances, and he is looking forward to spreading the love here in Singapore together with and both seasoned Dancers and Choreographers with expertise spanning various dance genres, from street to contemporary, and traditional ethnic dances of Singapore like Bharatya Natyam, Chinese, and Malay and off course Dabke.

Dabke is a traditional folk dance form popular in several Middle Eastern countries, including Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq. It is often performed at weddings, festivals, and other celebratory events, as well as during times of cultural expression and solidarity.

Join us as we express solidarity and love through this dance form Dabk🍉
