📢📢 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥

ASSITEJ Singapore invites members to apply for Director's Exchange 2027 at the COMEDIA Theatre, 🇩🇪 Cologne, from May 23nd – 30th 2027. Each ASSITEJ National Centre is invited to nominate one representative.

ASSITEJ Germany and Comedia Theatre Cologne will bear all accommodation, catering, cultural events and leisure activities, for all participants. On our end, we will assist you with a Letter of Support for your application to NAC for the Capability Development Grant should you be selected.

We are looking for someone who is:

✅ An ASSITEJ Singapore Member
✅ Has more than 3 years experience directing for young audiences
✅ Is available to travel during the above dates

These events are the international movement’s largest and most important gathering of artists, scholars, presenters, and buyers of theatre and performing arts for young audiences.

We are committed to making this upcoming ASSITEJ World Congress a conference to remember, and as a proud member of ASSITEJ International, as well as an Asian country, we're elated that the ASSITEJ World Congress will be held in South Korea this year, since first hosted in 2002. Today, on 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗝 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, we're nestled in the wonder of the only festival for children in Singapore - March On Festival, by our Organizational Member, Esplanade - Theatres on The Bay.

With so many heartbreaking things happening in the world today, we stand firm in the belief that Theatre is where we can seek refuge, find beauty, and hold wonder.

Across the world on 20 March, national centers of ASSITEJ International celebrate this day together. Always honored and thankful to be part of a wider community, as we are of the one we have in Singapore.

Join 3Pumpkins for a practical Child Safeguarding workshop developed from the ground experience of Tak Takut Kids Club (TTKC), a child-centric community space. Learn to recognise red flags, respond confidently to disclosures, understand Singapore’s child protection ecosystem, and follow clear escalation steps when concerns arise. Designed for practitioners working with children in arts engagement and arts education settings.

Barrowland Ballet Artistic Director Natasha Gilmore discusses her approach to creating sensory dance theatre for neurodivergent children.

In this workshop for dancers, choreographers, and theatre makers, Natasha shares her experience of the exciting creative challenge that this work presents, devising work in a way that invites neurodivergent children to participate freely.

ASSITEJ Singapore is assisting a Japanese festival partner to cast a Performer for a new Theatre for Young Audience(TYA) work. This international collaborative project will be happening from 🗓15 - 30 July 2026, and is in its funding application stage. The project will only happen if funding is successful, with flight, accommodation and festival access provided. We're looking for a Singaporean performer who is:

✅ Open to working within a collaborative environment, across different cultures and languages
✅ Has more than 3 years experience performing to young audiences
✅ Is available to travel during the above dates
