Scooter rider. On pedestrian path riding against traffic. Already bloody wrong. Hit a visually impaired woman walking with her cane. Even more wrong.
Her walking stick flew across the ground. She had to feel around on her hands and knees to find it.
Then this man — this genius — turned around and asked her:
“Why weren’t you looking where you were going?”
…
She. Cannot. See. Literally.
That is literally why the tactile paving was built. That is literally why she had the white cane. That is literally why it is called a pedestrian path — not a scooter expressway.
He had two working eyes, a motor vehicle, and a pedestrian zone to avoid. She had none of those advantages. And she still ended up being the one who got lectured.
Beijing Authorities are investigating.
