Today, we’re celebrating his legacy with the third movement of his Harpsichord Concerto in A Major – a lively reminder that Baroque music extends far beyond the names most of us know.

Vivaldi really said “More birds!” 🕊️“Il Gardellino” – or “The Goldfinch” is famous for its flute lines that imitate birdsong – playful, fluttering, and just a little magical. Today, we’re celebrating Claudio Monteverdi with Zefiro Torna – music that still feels fresh, playful, and full of movement centuries later. 🌿

Performed here with Italian singers .tenore and of at our concert Sprezzatura, this joyful opening section captures Monteverdi at his most vibrant: intertwining voices, dancing rhythms, and a kind of musical energy that still feels remarkably alive today.

What a show it was! Last Saturday, we opened the doors to “The Wonder Chamber”, exploring 17th-century musical curiosities by Bertali, Biber, Muffat and so much more alongside our guest director Olivier Fortin.
