As the celestial Dragon makes way for the earthly Snake. We are happy to share that ‘Mi’ is now ready for order.
Since 2020, we started the HANABI collaboration with renowned Japanese craft studio, 5th Generation Seiun Souemon Hara to make a small series of bronze sculptures based on the Chinese zodiac animals.
Each piece is personally made by master craftsman Satoshi Hara and his wife Yoshiko at their ancestral home and atelier in Kashiwazaki. From hand sculpting with bee wax to molding, casting, polishing and also the special smoking technique to achieve the charred effect on the body.
The craft of the Hara family is created by the wisdom and ambition of their ancestors to add value to life and contribute back to the rich nature of Japan. It was designated as an Intangible Cultural Property by the prefecture in 1978. Due to the nature of the craft, organic process and material, each object produced is unique and ages beautifully over generations.
The Year of the Wood Snake stands for growth, flexibility and new possibilities.
Hara san has incorporated the idea into the design of the sculpture, with the coiling body of the snake representing vitality and change. It promises a year of good blessings, fortunes and prosperity around us.

We will be saying goodbye to the cute Rabbit🐇. And we are excited to welcome the auspicious arrival of the year of the Dragon🐉! In the last few months, we were have received numerous queries regarding the new sculpture to celebrate the Dragon year. We can really feel the warm anticipation and support from you!

We are happy to share that Hara san has completed the creation of the new ‘Ryu’ sculpture! It is now ready for pre-order.

From the first animal zodiac till now, we are filled with gratitude and blessings to create each individual work.

Inspired by the ancient mythology of the ‘Ryu’ (Dragon). The Dragon is the guardian of the universe and its heavenly messenger. It is also the symbol of the life force between the sky and land. According to Hara san, 2024 will be the year of the element of wood. It represents the ascending flight of a youthful and energetic Dragon. He called it the ‘Youthful Dragon’ Ryu 稚龍. He has incorporated the idea into the design of the sculpture, with the flowing beard and hair of the young dragon which pushes the limits of his waxing technique. It promises a dynamic year of soaring fortunes, vitality and prosperity ahead.

時間毫不猶豫地一腳跨入了2023年，代表著兔年也近在咫尺。年節的氛圍也越來越濃郁。我們一同經歷了充滿迭宕的𡈼寅年，但所幸身邊的大家都安然無恙，我們也打包好一年的時光，期盼著兔年（癸卯年）的到來，大家是否也忙著妝點？

2022年很快就到了尾聲，這一年充滿著動盪，隨之迎接即將來臨的癸卯年—兔年，希望溫柔的兔子可以帶我們越過一切重霧。我們也很榮幸發表Hara-san兔年生肖鑄件”U”。

初收到”U”時，心裡驚呼，實在太可愛啦!! 黑色部份一樣以松葉煙燻，再刮掉部份，以透出底層閃閃動人的黃銅，配色相得益彰，令人愛不釋手。

目前第一批，尚有不多的名額，歡迎大家把握訂購，Hara-san預計於2023年1月10日以EMS，自日本直接寄出，您應該可於農曆年前可以收到。

2022年的農曆新年，來得特別早，我們自二月返台後，就留至今日，每天過著規律的生活。
二週前，收到Hara-san來信分享他的虎年擺件的照片，才如大夢初醒，原來，再過一個月多就要迎接農曆新年了!!

初見到Hara-san寄來的照片，覺得虎年的擺件-Tora，著實非常帥氣，Hara-san對於線條和表情的掌握，透露出他超凡的工藝，將老虎震攝人心的氣場展現得極佳; 黑色部份一樣以松葉煙燻，背部黑金二色相襯，也讓老虎更加栩栩如生，展現出手工打磨才具備的精緻。

時序默默地進入小暑，每日迎來豔陽和暖風，正是夏日標配，疫情起起落落，眼看今年我們亦無法同往年於盛夏之時造訪美麗的柏崎市，欣賞開滿夜空的煙花，然而，我們希望今年的夏日，一樣過得雅緻，畢竟平安是福。

前些日子Hara-san開心地與我們分享他今年多了新身份「柿子園的主人」，這是多麼值得紀念之事，柿樹有著吉祥之意，除了柿子色紅、味美，柿葉厚實、圓潤也有著美好的典故，蘇東坡甚至以蘆葦為筆、柿葉為紙，演成變「柿葉臨書」的風雅之舉。

我們希望也能將柿葉(事業)美好寓意分享與大家，故摘下柿葉，以此為拓，製成茶托，祝願大家: 事業順利、事事安順。

雖名為茶托，若不飲茶，置放小物件、小食、單獨擺飾亦可，是自用、送禮的尚佳之選。
