In tie up with the Student Council and other Cultural Clubs of JCU, we celebrated the International Cultural Extravaganza, where we showcased our vibrant and diverse cultural background with saree dressing workshops, a live mehndi counter, live chaat counter and of course some excellent music and dance performances. Do feel free to tag yourselves.

Dear friends,

In the light of the recent low risk Zika virus infection found around the vicinity of the university, we would like to share a few preventive measures that we would like all of you to follow.

1. Please carry a mosquito repellant sprays/ointments/patches with you at all times.

2. Make sure to cover up by wearing long sleeves/trousers/skirts.

3. Try avoiding moving around in grassy/wet areas which could be mosquito infested, especially in the evenings.

The university has taken many preventive measures to ensure your safety and you can avail mosquito repellant sprays and patches at the Student Hub. Spot fogging will be carried out from time to time to ensure that there are no breeding spots for mosquitoes. Electronic mosquito repellants and lemongrass incense have been placed all over the campus to ensure that the university remains mosquito free. Also, mosquito oiling exercises will be carried out everyday.

Do not fret! Stay calm, and keep working on them assignments! ;)
