Intersections is pleased to present Jonas Lam’s Shadows of the Past, Silence of the Present, an exhibition spanning a decade of photographic practice.

From Antarctica and the Drake Passage to the Falkland Islands and Lake Geneva, Lam’s journey moves between landscape, history and memory. It also traces a significant shift in his practice—from objective photography towards a more pictorialist language.

Inspired by speed dating and first conceptualised by artist and curator Michael Lee, participants rotate through a series of encounters - creating an engaging and approachable way to discover artistic practices, exchange ideas, and make meaningful connections.

We are pleased to announce that VIETNAM'S INTERSECTION has arrived in Da Lat, continuing its journey across Vietnam.

VIETNAM'S INTERSECTION in Da Lat is presented by the Đại sứ quán Pháp tại Việt Nam/ Ambassade de France au Vietnam and the Phố Bên Đồi at the Stop And Go Art Space (). The exhibition brings together photographs by Gilbert Bertrand, Daniel Roussel, and Lily Franey, offering distinct perspectives on Vietnam during a period of profound historical and social change.

Among the featured works is Gilbert Bertrand's remarkable photographic archive, created between 1970 and 1975. With a quiet and attentive eye, Bertrand documented both everyday life and historic moments - from the streets of Saigon to the people, landscapes, and communities he encountered in Vietnam.

Following its presentations in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Huế, the exhibition now continues in Da Lat - a city with its own important place in Bertrand's years in Vietnam.

VIETNAM'S INTERSECTION invites us to look beyond the major events of history and discover the people and everyday moments that give those events their human meaning. Come discover Vietnam through the eyes of three photographers and three distinct perspectives.
