Signing out of Club 🪩First Rave🪩 with a full heart, because the party never ever stops 🎶🎵🎶

This group photo reflects only a small part of a massive team that made this happened. We're missing the programming team, the front-of-house team, the staging crew, our technical manager and crew, our lighting operator, wardrobe, lighting and sound designers... The list truly does go on. We appreciate all of you from the depths of our pulsating hearts 🫶🏻

And to our audience members who joined us for your first rave today, thank you for your golden energies, your wide-eyed wonder, and your big people who brought you into this world.

This live theatre performance offers a powerful, magical and affirming experience for babies and their caregivers, particularly new parents, who are often navigating the invisible complexities of parenthood. As the first text-based baby theatre performance in Singapore, both adult and baby audience members are introduced to one another's worlds through puppetry, light and sound, before a gentle and magical rave party.

The development of this programme is supported by the National Arts Council and BinjaiTree Foundation.

Ending off the year with a puppet/calming-jar making workshop based on "Tape Tape World" - a puppetry performance we had created with the loveliest children from Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre, about a child's inexplicable need to want to fix things. (Hands up if you identify....)

We had previously created the central character of "Tape Tape World" (featured in poster in whimsical pink!) to double-up as a calming jar, as we loved the self-soothing possibility it offered.

Join us this Christmas season at Woods in the Books to make your very own puppet/calming jar! And get to try your hand on some basic puppet manipulation techniques while you're at it!

On first october one year ago, The Wanderlings became official. We had forgotten all about it because we were knee-deep in the ocean for our work-in-progress showcase of "A Drop In The Ocean" at Esplanade's Octoburst!

WE ARE BACK! With a new collaboration, no less!

"A Drop In The Ocean" is created in collaboration with Ian Loy, Serene Tan, and our co-founders Ellison and Myra, and will be part of this year's Octoburst! At Esplanade - Theatres on The Bay!

This baby theatre production specially designed for babies with psychomotor ages from 6-18 months.

Dates: 4-6 October
Timings: 1130am, 3pm, 530pm

A non-verbal, table-top puppetry performance by The Wanderlings.

Synopsis: Tape Tape lives in a tape, tape world. In this world, broken things are fixed instantly, but every fix is always temporary. One day, Tape Tape meets Blot. Blot introduces Tape Tape to a different world – a world where leaves will fall due to time and age. Tape Tape learns that there can be beauty in destruction. Tape Tape learns that it's ok to not fix everything, because not everything can be fixed, and not everything needs fixing.

In June 2019, we had a week-long workshop with several children between 7–12 years old from the Achieving Kids and Kin (AK) programme, a programme under AMKFSC Community Services Ltd.

In one week, the children got to make their own puppets, learn basic puppet manipulation techniques, think and talk about safe spaces and problem-solving as peers, and contribute material for and responses to the table-top puppetry piece, "Tape Tape World", created by Myra Loke, Ellison Tan, and director Yvan Karlsson, with sound by Bani Haykal.

Following the children's input and feedback, Tape Tape World was staged at three different public spaces in the Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood, followed by a facilitated discussion / Q&A after.
