Poem:
There's an end to the carnival, carrousels can't run forever
Love shouldn't be a funhouse mirror, distorting views to hide the truth
Your heart isn't broken, nor frozen, just hollow
An empty stage for the puppeteers act
Carnival tricks are supposed to be fun, not frightening
You left the ringleader to pull your strings
The balloons aren't popping, they're ticking, shows almost over
This carnival is twisted, entangled love, it's no fun here
Love isn't cruel, you enslave yourself, imprisoned in the funhouse
You won't gaze beyond the warping mirrors;
your eyes are broken and blistered and can't see forward
Love can't craft this, distorted images; will you enjoy the end of the show?
Or let it run forever, forever again, and see the nothing you can't let go
You can't stay on this carrousel, you're sitting still, you're blind here
