Rejoice - Sew Rejoice is 7!!

Thank you God for giving me this gift of sewing and led me to start Rejoice - Sew Rejoice 7 years ago. Thank you for sending many wonderful people to join me in my sewing journey these past 7 years. You have make it all possible.

And to all who have visited my workshops, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your support and encouragement. I could not have reached this new milestone without you.

In celebration of the 7th birthday, I will be choosing 3 students from among those who have attended my workshops from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026. Each of them will be given a special gift from Rejoice - Sew Rejoice.

Three is a charm. But for one of ny favourite regular Y, the number is four.

Y has booked a workshop with me together with her favourite niece and nephew in December last year. She wanted to share with them her love in sewing and wanted to make a special gift for her niece at the same time. But work caught up and Y has to miss the lesson while her niece and nephew took their first sewing lesson.

Y did not give up. She arranged with me again, not just once but three more times. But two out of three times she had to miss the lesson again due to medical reason and emergency. The kit waited for her till her return.

Last week I finally welcome Y back to my workshop on the 4th attempt, just in time before her favorite niece’s O level exam started. The pencil case is meant to be an encouragement for her niece facing a major exam this year. So glad that I was part of this special memory of Y and her niece.

A beautiful Tokidoki poly cotton pencil case made specially by Y for her niece. I am thankful that Y did not give up and finally managed to squeeze out half a day from her busy schedule for this. She told me that her niece loves the pencil case very much. The pencil case attracts lots of compliments that Y received two more orders for the pencil case 😊. Y’s sewing journey will continue.

Praise God for the joy of handmade for both the giver and recipient.

M contacted me via her cousin to find out more about the Miriam Kisslock Sling Bag workshop. When I told her about the small size of Miriam, she said it was just the size she likes 😊.

Despite telling me she was a total beginner, M progressed well into the workshop with just a little bit of practice. Miriam was easy enough that M enjoyed the sewing process without much stress and she was rewarded with a beautiful bag that she could be proud of.

M was so motivated by her success in making Miriam that she ordered a bag kit from me to sew at home. It is a joy for me to be part of her sewing journey and I hope to see her progress into making more bags in future.

**Trinity Origami Bag beginner workshop**

Trinity Origami bag is a modification from the traditional Japanese Origami Bag. Trinity is reversible and made up of 3 different panels on each side so one can have fun mix and match the fabric.

One of its unique and important feature is that Trinity comes with up to 4 inseam pockets for your phone, wallet, tissue and traveling card. So that the little things will not be lost in a roomy bags.

With elastic band and button, it can easily be folded into a small scroll and use as a grocery bag. Trinity can be easily scale up as a large carry it all crossbody bag or scale down as a mini tote for a walk.
