The newly released Sony’s FE 85mm F1.4 GM II is certainly a Masterpiece Defined. I am mind blown with its performance. I never feel comfortable posting my pictures without retouching. With this new 85mm G master, I am sure it’s more shooting than post processing. All the images posted here are Straight out of camera (SOOC). The colours, the skin tone the rendering of 85mm and the beautiful G Master quality bokeh are incredible. As a habit, I tried retouching the pictures but I preferred the SOOC pictures better. Never happened with any other lenses I own/tried. Usually when I place the Model near greenery, there will be colour cast and I have to adjust the colour tint in post. But, there is no colour cast at all with this Masterpiece. Overall I’m highly satisfied, except for the sharpness but “only” compared to the 135mm G Master (the last two pictures were shot using that lens).
