Some paintings already found their homes 💕

What a weekend. We were honored to welcome Senior Minister of State Goh Pei Ming to "Where We Meet", ERICA WEE - ART 👩🏻‍🎨 🇸🇬 new solo exhibition at i12 Katong, with an intimate artist-led tour and a heartfelt talk with Erica herself.

Born and raised in Katong, Erica paints the neighborhood not as it was, but as it lives on, the shop houses, the five-foot ways, the architecture that carries Katong's story. As these heritage streetscapes evolve, Sound of Art is happy to play a part in preserving this rich cultural and architectural heritage, through the artist who call this place home, along with our wonderful partners i12 KATONG

Collectors are bringing home what speak to them! Come check them out before your favorite is gone or just let the art pieces spark conversations amongst friends and family!

We’re back at i12 Katong!

Where We Meet is a solo exhibition by Katong-born and bred artist Erica Wee, featuring paintings inspired by the streets, buildings and familiar scenes of Katong-Joo Chiat.

For Erica, Katong is more than a neighbourhood. It is home, memory, and a place where generations meet.

We first met here. And tomorrow, we meet again.

Sound of Art returns to i12 Katong after a year with “Where We Meet”, a new exhibition by artist Erica Wee celebrating the colour, character and architectural heritage of Katong–Joo Chiat.

From familiar shophouses and iconic junctions to the places where generations have gathered and crossed paths, Erica’s paintings invite us to see our neighbourhood in a new light.

Come meet us again, where it all began.

The wild doesn’t wait for perfect conditions—it simply continues. 🦒🦦🦓

In The Wild Knows No Fear, Singaporean mixed media artist Jillian Cheong draws inspiration from wildlife to explore resilience, hope and quiet courage in a world marked by uncertainty and conflict.

Using newspaper clippings, fabric and acrylic paint, she creates richly layered artworks that invite us to pause, look closer, and see the beauty woven into every layer.

Having navigated her own journey through Long Covid, Jillian brings a perspective shaped by hope and resilience—inviting us to see that courage isn’t the absence of fear, but the choice to keep moving forward.

If you’re in the East, come by and experience the exhibition in person.

Through All Seasons brings together three paintings by Mongolian artist Byamba, painted across different landscapes and moments in time.

Sound of Art is proud to present “The Wild Knows No Fear”, a new solo exhibition by mixed media artist Jillian Cheong.

Debuting 10 new artworks, this latest series presents Jillian’s reflections on navigating a world shaped by societal expectations, systems, and unspoken rules. Through her layered mixed media approach — incorporating newspaper fragments, pages from discarded law books and fabric scraps from her late grandmother’s collection — she creates symbolic imagery that explores themes of identity, providence, and hope amidst uncertainty, lack, and strife.

Uncover hidden words embedded within painted barcodes incorporated into her artworks, revealing deeper layers of meaning behind each piece.

We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition and experience the works up close.
