Tea with a Stork

She knew the truth long before anyone said it out loud.
No more tiny socks. No more lullabies. No more waiting at the window.

So one morning, instead of closing her heart, she set the table.
“Come,” she whispered into the mist. “You must be tired too.”
And the stork came — not as a messenger of beginnings, but as a traveler who had carried too many hopes across too many skies. His wings were heavy. His eyes were kind.
They did not speak about babies.
They spoke about time.
About seasons.
About how love changes shape but never really leaves.
They drank tea slowly, like people who finally understood something important:
That some chapters end…
so that a different kind of life can begin.
And for the first time in years,
both of them rested. ☕✨
