We wanted to do something about the fact that we (and people around us) felt we lacked time, and knowledge of the arts market, to take part in what the cultural scene in Stockholm has to offer. People already do all sorts of things in the mornings. So in the early spring of 2014, we decided to found an organization that arranges monthly morning sessions featuring all kinds of fine arts. Over break
fast. We named the concept Early Art. The aim of Early Art is to make art more accessible in people's everyday life. We found that a great way of doing that is to use the mornings to consume art. We want to lower the barriers for people to take part of what the broad and varied art scene Stockholm (and other large cities) has to offer, by offering an open-minded room where anyone can enjoy art. Through making different forms of art accessible, we hope to inspire people - young people in particular - to recognize art around them and to a larger extend start taking part of the global art scene. Art challenges our mind to think in new perspectives, and it is a fantastic source for inspiration. So by inspiring people to explore and consume more art, we hope to make the world a better place in the long run.
