Limited places available! Take class with Shoreditch Youth Dance Company from LONDON and guest teachers!

Shoreditch Youth Dance Company has a residency at in-discourse, Malmö 10-15 August. Now is your chance to take class with this talented group of inspiring youth, led by renowned director and teacher Lee Smikle.

Lee is a resident artist with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Re:Bourne, where he previously worked as a performer and rehearsal assistant. He now leads on the delivery of their choreographic educational projects, mentors and his currently producing Matthew Bourne's prestigious New Adventures Choreographer Award. He has toured both as a performer and teacher all over the globe and most recently he was appointed principal and artistic director of Legat School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

Since launching SYD in 2010, Lee’s youth company have become one of the United Kingsdom’s leading independent youth groups, touring both nationally and internationally as far a field as Japan and collaborating with Britains most current teachers and dance makers. Known for their passion, energy and ability these guys never fail to inspire wherever they go. They call it the SYD Spirit! Come and experience it now!

This summer’s residency in Malmö will support the creation of a new full-length narrative dance - theatre work conceived and choreographed by Lee Smikle and the talented SYD dancers.

*Limited places for a maximum of 15 students

*These classes are aimed at students aged 15 years and older
