The archive continues to be a valuable resource, not just for preserving history but for supporting the grassroots communities that keep it alive.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Per Bengtsson from the Swedish Commodore Club. During his visit, we worked on copying old cassette tapes that were once distributed alongside issues of the Swedish club magazine Joystick. The cassette tapes contain games and software that members could submit themselves.

Commodore had a strong foothold in Sweden and efforts like these help ensure that an important part of that legacy is not lost.

Thomas, our Acquisitions Manager, is on-site at the archive this week. Since he normally works remotely it’s a special occasion for him to spend time in the archive. It gives him the chance to explore objects up close and engage with the material in a way that simply isn’t possible at a distance.
