25 artworks, 25 frames, and one very big milestone🖼️✨

This photo is from today's 4 hour process of framing all 25 of my original artworks for my first-ever gallery exhibition, happening this month here in Sweden.

When I started working towards this back in May, I only had around 10 drawings that I felt I could exhibit. Since then I’ve created 15 more original works (from May to September), specifically for this moment.

15 original artworks in about 4 months? I’d say that’s not bad 😌💅

But now, seeing them all framed and ready to leave my home and enter a gallery for the first time…it’s starting to feel very real and a little scary 🙈

So here’s to the last few months of drawing, creating, doubting, pushing through, and making it happen ❤️🎉🥂

"The First Attempt"

Trying to stand for the first time is certainly difficult for a newborn foal. It's legs are uncertain and it's body unsteady. Every attempt takes great effort, yet difficulty does not mean impossibility.

This artwork reflects the beginning of every challenge: the first attempt may be the hardest, but it is still a beginning. Sometimes, we simply have to try, fall, and rise again.

"The Part I Carried"

The world only sees the strong version of us. The one that learned to survive, endure, and keep moving forward. However, there’s another part of us the world rarely sees. The softer part that existed before we learned how to be strong.

Sometimes, becoming strong isn’t about no longer needing protection. It’s about becoming strong enough to finally give that protection to yourself.

"Looks Can Kill"

Gentle eyes & round ears, but don't let the cuteness fool you. Apperances can be decieving, and even the most innocent-looking faces don't always come with the kindest intentions.

The hippo is one of nature's most formidable animals with a presence that commands respect long before it reveals its strength.

I'm currently working on this sea puppy (aka a hippo)! In my opinion they're unbelievably cute and innocent-looking, yet they're considered the world's deadliest large land mammal 🦛

I've only drawn water once before, and that piece didn't include any advanced reflections. This one is definitely pushing my skills, but I'm really enjoying the challenge!🌾🌊

"After the Fire"

I created this piece because of my continuing fascination with the bison and the strength and survival they represent. I imagined a world where the flames have already passed, leaving only charred trees beneath a blanket of fresh snow. Represnting both ending and renewal.

To me, this pair of bisons represent that survival is not found in escaping adversity, but in continuing despite it.

I've been working on this drawing over the past few days, but it didn't feel interesting enough to post until today's progress 😅

It's a bit of a similar theme to my previous original piece "Survivors", but this one focuses solely on the bison.
