Kigali Center for Photography Kigali Center for Photography is home to Exhibitions, Creative Talks, Dialogues, and more related to society and photography.

KCP is a hub for humanistic and socially responsible photography and video in Rwanda and across all of Africa. Through exhibitions, publications, and public programs the center promotes the work of both accomplished and emerging visual artists whose work explores important cultural, political, and health issues facing the continent. The center also strives to connect the region’s best documentary storytellers with organizations seeking to share their work with a wide audience.

September keeps looking better, Join us Early next week for the farewell and artist talk with our very own has been based in Kigali, Rwanda producing and co-directing a documentary feature about young people coming of age in a post genocide society who are writing an entirely new story. He has spent over 10 years working with atomic bomb survivors to inherit and convey their testimonies. His grandfather Jacob Beser was the only man on both planes that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Ari became a Fulbright National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellow, a member of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons and Student Academy Award semi-finalist for his documentary work. Ari has given four TEDx talks and a Creative Mornings talk. His nuclear disarmament work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Der Spiegel Magazine, Time Magazine, National Geographic, and The Japan Times. His photography has been featured by National Geographic, The Guardian, Telegraph, CBS/Viacom, The Financial Times, French Vogue, The Nation Magazine, Oprah Magazine, PRI’s The World, EFE, Spain’s El Diario, Harvard Law School, Human Rights Watch and Huffington Post.
