It was an added honor to welcome Dr. Fidel Antonio Castro Smirnov (Professor and Senior Researcher at University of Havana and grandson of the late Cuban President Fidel Castro) as a featured panelist for this critical dialogue

Like Rome, Moscow too is surrounded by 7 hills and one of them is Sparrow Hill (Vorobyovy Gory) which provides a breathtaking view of the Russian capital. Facing this view is the iconic Moscow State University (MSU)
Stepping onto the observation deck, you can see the winding Moscow River below, the skyscrapers of Moscow City, and the Luzhniki Stadium (of the football World Cup fame)
Moscow State University’s stellar academic legacy includes 13 Nobel laureates, 6 Fields Medal winners and 1 Turing Award winner. It is also the country’s oldest university serving as a symbol of knowledge and architectural mastery. Was amazing to visit this legendary institution

Back in May, I had the privilege of visiting the headquarters of Russia Today (RT). Getting a firsthand look at their global broadcasting infrastructure and experiencing how international news is shaped from a different geopolitical perspective was incredibly eye-opening
With the unanimous adoption of the ‘New Delhi Declaration’, the conversation this weekend has veered once again towards building a truly multipolar world and strengthening cultural and digital partnerships across borders. Media platforms play an undeniable role in this evolving global landscape, dictating how stories are told and how nations understand one another
My time at RT underscored just how vital cross-border dialogue, media literacy and global perspective are in today’s interconnected environment
