📸 Friday evening, at the inauguration of Seamus Murphy’s solo exhibition, ‘Life Is in Many Days’ at Museo Camera
It was my very first visit to India’s only camera museum and the space itself is absolutely incredible—a true sanctuary for anyone who loves visual storytelling! 🖼️✨
Of course, outside the stunning galleries, I had to stop by the garden for the mandatory photo on their iconic, retro scooter! 🛵💨
Seamus Murphy’s vast collection spanning decades across Afghanistan, Russia and America is deeply impactful, it was his Dublin series—raw, poetic Irish life—that stood out for me 🇮🇪❤️
It was a great to meet Seamus and Dr Shashi Tharoor who is Seamus’ brother-in-law through his sister Smita Tharoor. Listening to Dr Tharoor’s insights alongside Seamus’s own reflections on his decades-long journey behind the lens made for an unforgettable discussion. It is fascinating to hear Dr Tharoor speak on art, you almost forget that he’s a politician, as he talks about the artist’s life and process. Years ago he was also the chief guest at our show at Dhoomimal Gallery and he mentioned ‘Violon d’Ingres’ the French term describing people who make art as a second calling! Was the most enlightening speech I had ever heard on art
Thank you to Aditya Arya and the incredible team at Museo Camera 🙏✨

Food is the ultimate universal storyteller✨
A single plate can communicate history, migration, geography and deep human emotions—all without uttering a single word
And that’s exactly what the spectacular new culinary chapter at Le Meridien, New Delhi is all about.
Beautifully titled “Sarhad se Sufra” (From the border to the table spread), this initiative is a breathtaking journey through shared heritage. Its inaugural edition features the deeply rich, soul-stirring flavours of many frontier cuisines
Masterfully curated by legendary food historian Dr. Pushpesh Pant and Chef Devender Kumar, every single dish on the menu serves up centuries of culture and connection
But the absolute icing on the cake? The grand dessert reveal itself. 🍨✨
Ending this historic culinary journey on the sweetest possible note, this dessert isn’t just a treat—it is a beautiful piece of storytelling on a plate. (Watch the video to see the magic unveil!) 🍽️📜

Standing at 14,270 feet, right at the edge of the nation where every breath is a reminder of our freedom🇮🇳✨
Saluting the tricolor at Pangong Lake, on the India-China border, hits entirely different. It isn’t just the highest point; it’s where courage meets the sky, and where our brave jawans stand guard so we can breathe free
Happy Independence Day from the very top of our motherland! 🏔️❤️

IT WAS FASCINATING talking with Gaganyatri Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla about his astronaut experience and his life-changing stay at the International Space Station. He was the chief guest at our DEEKSHARAMBH and he floored everyone with his retelling of his experience up there. Apart from being an astronaut and a fighter pilot, he is also truly a wonderful storyteller.
Having met him at an earlier occasion we were catching up about Lucknow when Times Now Reporter Kritika Tiwari also mentioned that she’s from Lucknow so we decided to capture the moment with three famous Lucknow people 🤩🙌

IN 2000, AS A YOUNG CORRESPONDENT AT OUTLOOK MAGAZINE, I received an unexpected proposal from a literary editor: translate Asghar Wajahat sir’s iconic play 'Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya Oh Janmya Nai' into English
Needless to say, I was a bit nervous!
Wajahat sir was already a literary legend. His 1989 play—built around the famous idiom 'You haven't truly lived until you've seen Lahore'—had already travelled the world to packed houses. The responsibility felt immense.
But the biggest surprise came when I actually met him.
To discuss the nuances of the language and the idioms, I sat down with a giant of Hindi literature, only to find an incredibly down-to-earth and humble mentor. I was especially amazed by how graciously and easily he accepted my translated title, 'Unborn in Lahore'
That project was my very first literary translation. It was entirely thanks to Wajahat sir’s encouragement and warmth that I gained the confidence to later approach and translate the works of other legendary masters like Premchand, Bhisham Sahni and Nirmal Verma
Fast forward to today, and I am absolutely delighted to see this timeless story transitioning to the big screen. Produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the cinematic adaptation is finally coming to life
I am so looking forward to 'BATWARA 1947'! (Releasing Aug 14, 2026)🎬

“How many of you disagree that MEDIA today is like AIR, WATER and SUNSHINE?” 🎙️
I started my ‘Mirchi Masterclass’ with this question. Not a single hand went up. In that moment, I knew I had the undivided attention of a room filled not with the usual students, but with a highly diverse group of radio listeners
Usually, a masterclass has in it a specific and predictable demographic. And in that this one was a mold-breaker!
As part of Mirchi’s innovative ‘AI-Giri’ campaign, these listeners were especially called to their Film City studio to have a face-to-face with experts. And for experts like me, it was an incredibly rewarding experience—unpacking for an audience that consumes it every second of their waking life exactly how AI is reshaping media and comm
Teaching at this somewhat ‘out-of-the-syllabus’ masterclass was both fun and full of learning especially with respect to the curiosities each question brought to the table
Full marks to the team at Mirchi for creating such an novel platform 🙏✨
