Genesis international film festival (GIFF) is a creative competition where everyone can show their talent and be judged by a highly professional jury.

GIFF was born out of the need to discover new talent among filmmakers - from filmmakers to CGIs.

A little girl is mentally disturbed and (literally) sees herself as a grown woman who is constantly forced to be a peacemaker in the house and fix problems in order to have a less miserable life. Soon this split from reality leads her to emotional numbness and although she’s in dire need of help, she decides to terminate her parents’ misery.

But when a mishap involving her playful children turns the device from a helpful tool into a dangerous threat, she realizes this new technology is far beyond her understanding.

6 February was a special night in Moscow: we hosted “From Reunion with Love” — a live bridge with Abel and Lauren from WOPE Production (Reunion Island). 🇷🇪

We talked about filmmaking on the island, Creole culture and languages, life next to an active volcano, and how Reunion becomes a true “co-author” of stories on screen. 🎥🌋

We also discussed their comedy mini-series *Somin Gazé* (“Crazy Trail”), inspired by the legendary Grand Raid (Diagonale des Fous) — 24 short episodes full of island humor, unexpected situations, and real local spirit.

One of the warmest moments: Rémy, a Reunion native living in Moscow for around 10 years, joined in after hearing his home language — and suddenly the “bridge” felt truly real. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who made this evening so welcoming and alive. ✨

Using a montage of parallel worlds—fast-paced urban life and serene natural landscapes—「UN」CURRENT unravels the story of a model ensnared in an endless loop of routine and consumption. Shot with a combination of the tactile warmth of 16mm film and the crisp clarity of digital imagery, the film blurs the lines between reality and surreal dreams, where the distinction between the chaos of fast-paced living and the harmony of sustainable, slow living becomes increasingly grotesque and haunting.
