I started a photography project called Weather Details 3 years ago because I was curious what happens if I intentionally slow down in my creative practice. I wanted to see closer what nature looks like every month and every season. I thought this project will teach me about photography, but it actually taught me much more about life and death and these infinite cycles we are all connected to, no matter if we like it or not. ♾️ I leave here the biggest lesson nature taught me through this project of slow and repetitive observation during the month of September. Looking forward to sharing the finlased Weather Details project when it’s finally done! Updates coming soon…Have a wonderful end of September and remember to trust the process! 💌

I’ve been returning to this meadow close to my home every month for the last 3 years 📷

My aim as a photographer is to photograph life as it is : no photo props whatsoever, no tripod, lights, etc - just a macro lens and a lot of slow nature walks 👣

☝️ These are some Lily-Of-The-Valley early fruits. They will transform from white flowers to orange-red round berries. Now they are in the middle of their transformation 💚

This is Alsike Clover ☝️ Very common and easy to go pass across Europe, but so gentle and beautiful when looked at closer 💗 I did not know it’s made of so many and so elegant tiny flowers 😱

I also found this article last year and thought about the importance of nature photography and what we consume digitally on a daily basis☝️ what do you think?

☝️This one is Shepherd’s Purse - another very common plant…yet did you see the heart-shaped leaves? 🥹

Ofc it’s not the same as being in nature but it is a bit reassuring thought 💭 isn’t it?

If you ask me, snails should be the symbol of 🐌 don’t you think?

This is the last year for this photo-project. 💔 It is also the longest photo-project I did until now. ❤️

🔬As all my photo-projects - it started as experiment to practice macro photography and see how slow and intentional I can get in my photo journey. To be honest, I did not expect so much transformation on so many levels 🥴

There are so many lessons I could share from it. But better I ask you : what do you want to know about it? What are you curious about? Write your question in the comments section ⬇️

It might feel just a small interruption but inside your brain the effect is WAY MORE significant.

I tried this little “hack” for the last 2 years, and it’s still the smallest change I’ve made for my mental health—with the biggest return.

Did you know that even brief alerts can hijack your brain’s focus, interrupt your train of thought, and pull you out of deep work?

If you’re constantly interrupted, you’re also less likely to experience that feeling of calm, presence, or creative flow. 💔

That’s why, before I edit my photographs and start my creative process, I turn off my Wi-Fi and put my phone away—for at least 60 minutes.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your creativity is simply protect your attention. 🧠📷

There is nothing I’ve ever found more calming than kneeling down on nature’s soil and slowly photographing the small world hidden under our eyes 👀

It’s also because now we know much more about how the brain works and how slow observation and being in nature can bring us almost automatically into a mindful state 🙂‍↔️
