Another victim of voices38.
Stellar Blade is the latest victim of ‘voices38’ as he was able to crack its Denuvo anti-tamper tech. It took roughly 11 months for a "proper" crack to surface and while there was a previous "Hypervisor Bypass" floating around, it required users to disable several Windows security features, making it a risky choice for most.
The voices38 release is being hailed by the community because it is a direct Denuvo bypass. Which means, It is important to note that the crack bypasses rather than removes Denuvo. The DRM is still technically running in the background, so you won't see the performance boost that usually comes with a total removal. All the Denuvo cracks we’ve gotten so far, from both EMPRESS and voices38, are bypasses. In other words, Denuvo will still run in the background. So, it will be meaningless to test and compare the cracked and the non-cracked versions.
In 2026, voices38 has effectively become the successor to previous major cracking entities (like EMPRESS). This year alone, they have already successfully bypassed several high-profile Denuvo titles, including Black Myth: Wukong, Resident Evil: Requiem and DOOM: The Dark Ages.
While the technical milestone is interesting, supporting developers—especially studios like Shift Up who have been active in bringing their console hits to PC with high-quality ports—is the best way to ensure we keep getting games like this in the future.
