Noi suntem Gray Bliss Band și nu suntem aici pentru nostalgii. Am venit pentru o renaștere muzicală.

✨ Într-o lume care aleargă după trenduri, noi căutăm ceva atemporal:
– Eleganța pura a jazz-ului vocal clasic.
– Swing-ul care îți mișcă trupul.
– Bossa nova care îți topește mintea.
– Versuri care dor… în cel mai frumos mod.
Iar în centrul tuturor stă Nico, o voce de jazz și fiecare notă pe care o cântă e o poveste uitată în timp… Vocea ei e catifea scăldată în amintiri.
Ea nu cântă piese. Le invocă.

De ce?
Pentru că oamenii s-au săturat de fals.
Vor emoție.
Vor profunzime.
Vor muzica adevărată.

🎷✨ There’s a moment, right before the first note, when the room holds its breath.

The room glows in amber light, soft shadows flickering on velvet chairs, vintage frames whispering stories from another time.

And then… the first note. A warm guitar chord, suspended in the air. The bass answered, deep and patient. Brushes whispered over the snare. And a voice, smooth and vulnerable, began to tell a story in song.

This was jazz the way it was born: not from luxury, but from feeling. From small rooms and bigger dreams. From nights where the music wasn’t played for perfection, but for connection.

🎶 Gypsy jazz or “jazz manouche,” as they called it in 1930s Paris, came from Django Reinhardt and the Romani soul. No horns, no orchestra, just strings, rhythm, and heart. It was about freedom about turning every note into emotion, every silence into story.

Originally sung by Zaz, “Je veux” was never just a song. It was a manifesto of the soul, a gypsy-jazz hymn to living fully, choosing love and freedom over glitter and gold.
It’s a reminder that jazz, in all its forms, still speaks the same language: freedom, love, and truth.

Some songs feel like they were written to travel through time.

When Laufey released “From the Start” in 2022, she revived the elegance of jazz ballads for a new generation and it instantly became a modern standard.

For us, playing this piece live in Cluj Napoca isn’t just about covering a hit. It’s about showing how jazz keeps evolving: from Ella and Chet… to Laufey… to jazzy nights like this in Transylvania.

💭 Fun fact: “From the Start” is written in the bossa nova style, a Brazilian rhythm that shaped jazz in the 1960s. Listen closely, you’ll hear that gentle sway that made João Gilberto and Astrud Gilberto famous.

🎶 Why we love it: because it proves jazz is alive, intimate, and still telling love stories today.

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone…

We recorded this live in our rehearsal room, no studio tricks, no second takes.

Just us, the music, and the feeling in the room. There’s something about this song. It’s simple, but it hurts in the best way.

Bill Withers really said what silence feels like.

🎙️ Our singer poured her heart into this one, raw, honest, and a little bit broken (in the way that only good jazz can be).

🎶 You can hear the space between the notes. You can feel it.

We almost didn’t share this, it’s not perfect.
But maybe that’s exactly why we should. Because music like this… it’s not about perfection.

It’s about truth.
