Ioana received her BA (2008) and MA (2010) from the National University of Arts in Bucharest, where she studied fine art drawing. In 2021 she received her PhD from the University of Chester, under the auspices of Glyndwr University, for her research into the concept of artistic maximalism.

I’m finding it difficult to make those cool, complex videos I used to post all the time until not too long ago. I won’t dig too deep into the possible reasons, I’ll just blame it on the weather. Ah, this relentless English rain has a lot to answer for 🥸

Anguished by the fact that the world around seems constantly on fire and about to blow up, I am forever amazed by how lucky and privileged I am to spend my days doing what I love, around the people I love.

I am a different person than who I was last year. More balanced, less keen to prove myself and to push my limits towards impossible goals. So it may sound like my ambition is waning, but what I feel is that my confidence and sense of purpose are deepening.
