Still can’t believe you’re one. 🥲

The hardest year of my life, but also the most beautiful one to remember.

Years from now, I’ll look back and think that, somehow, this was the most meaningful year of my life.

It was so, so hard. No sleep, barely eating, barely enough time for anything else, constantly exhausted… but it was all worth it.

We love you! 🤍

Finally, I can share what I was working on back in June. 🤍

A little book of poems written by Miki Jana for her first great-granddaughter, Ami.

Miki Jana lived for 94 years — through war, famine, revolutions, and countless chapters of history. And yet, when little Ami came into the world, she wrote poems about something much simpler and more timeless: a baby discovering the world, the little things she did, and the love that surrounded her.

Years later, I had the privilege of bringing those poems to life through my illustrations.

Reading them felt like stepping into a very tender moment in our family’s history — a great-grandmother putting into words the joy of having a little girl to love, and a family coming together around her.

Now, those words have become this little book, made especially for Ami.

A small collection of poems, but a big piece of love — one that travelled through generations and found its way into my hands, so I could give it a new life through art. 🤍✨

Moving abroad, having a child, and feeling socially isolated on an island have completely changed my perspective on life and on my career — if I can truly say I have one.

And now I have to wrestle with this Romanian proverb that has been stuck in my head these past few days:
“What you don’t let die won’t let you live.”

But maybe this is simply a new chapter of my life.
A chapter about discovering my purpose, letting go of old ideas and projects, making my art more personal — almost like a visual journal — and, most importantly, learning not to think so much about what other people want to see in my art.

Thank you, Raluca Mihaela Harabagiu

I discovered her while I was in college through her song Born to Die. Her distinctive voice, filled with nostalgia, resonated deeply with me and became the soundtrack to that chapter of my life. Years later, her music still finds its way back into my playlists.

A few mockup ideas for my latest illustration.

"Analog" (2026)
Digital illustration

A piece that sits somewhere between the sacred and the contemporary, drawing inspiration from Byzantine iconography while reimagining it through a modern visual language.

I'm exploring different ways this artwork could live beyond the screen—which mockup is your favourite? Or where would you imagine seeing it? I'd love to hear your thoughts. 🤍

I'm starting a series of illustrations inspired by musicians whose art has sparked something in me. The idea was inspired by SADDO 's series, but I'm giving it my own artistic style.

The first is inspired by Delia and her song Analog—a song that makes me long for a slower, more intentional way of living.

Maybe we all long to live a little more analog. To spend less time online and more time in the real world. To be together. To feel deeply. To create. To love. To simply be present.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Which musician should inspire the next illustration?
