🐆 “Silent Watcher”

There is something captivating about the quiet intensity of a leopard. In this painting, I wanted to capture that moment when the animal pauses and looks directly towards us—calm, powerful and completely aware.

The rich golden tones of the leopard’s coat contrast with a textured, atmospheric background of deep blues, greys and touches of gold, creating a contemporary feel while keeping the focus firmly on the animal.

For me, the eyes are the heart of the painting. They hold a sense of intelligence, strength and mystery—reminding us of the wild beauty we share our world with and the importance of protecting it.

Moonlit Guardian

I loved painting this beautiful barn owl, surrounded by the deep blues of the night and the warm glow of the moon. There is something incredibly peaceful about the way the owl rests on the branch, almost as if time has stood still for a moment.

I wanted to capture not only the beauty of the bird, but that quiet, mysterious feeling of seeing wildlife at night — a moment of stillness, watchfulness and connection with nature.

This is one of those paintings that I have really fallen in love with. 🦉🌙

The delicate circle of life.
The greater flamingo that visits the Algarve in Portugal each year. About 1000 of them in Castro Marim some of which have built their muddy nests and hatched about 500 odd chicks. Their lives are so delicate with thousands of miles of migration. I had to try and capture that balance.❣️

“Flamingo Gathering” 🦩

My latest painting is finished.

I wanted to capture the beauty and character of a small gathering of flamingos, rather than simply paint a study of individual birds. I was particularly drawn to the wonderful curves of their necks and the way their bodies overlap and weave together, creating an almost abstract pattern of feathers, colour

Flamingos have such an unmistakable elegance, and I hope this painting conveys something of their beauty, individuality and the quiet connection between them.

Meet Pickles. 🦔
He may only be the size of a teacup, but he's convinced he's in charge of the garden.
He's the latest in my little hedgehog series, and just like his prickly siblings, he's hoping to find a loving home. Don't let the spikes fool you—he's 98% charm, 2% attitude, and 100% ready to steal someone's heart.

Unbreakable bond

I’m delighted to finally share my latest acrylic painting on canvas, measuring 60 cm × 122 cm.

This piece was one of the most challenging paintings I’ve undertaken. Capturing the incredible texture of an elephant’s skin, the sheer scale and power of the mother, while also portraying the tenderness and vulnerability of her calf, demanded patience, countless layers, and close attention to every detail.

For me, this painting is about far more than two elephants. It represents the quiet strength of motherhood, unconditional protection, and the deep bond that exists between parent and child. Their eyes tell a story of wisdom, trust and love.

Elephants are among the world’s most intelligent and emotionally connected animals, yet they continue to face threats from habitat loss and poaching. I hope this painting encourages people to pause, appreciate their beauty, and remember how important it is to protect them.
