Alfredo Moreira da Silva’s ('AMS') work moves beyond conventional painting, uniting emotional abstraction with the physical and symbolic depth of landscape. His canvases transform memory, sensation, and place into a refined visual language where colour and texture embody intensity, contemplation, and time. Working from a 110-hectare forest studio in Alentejo, Portugal, Alfredo dissolves boundaries

between art, territory, and ecological practice. Trained at the Soares dos Reis School of Arts and Crafts, he draws on a multidisciplinary lineage spanning painting, textile design, and architecture, anchored in a family tradition of landscape stewardship. His paintings extend past the frame, inviting collectors and institutions into a dialogue with nature, memory, and the deliberate rhythm of creation. Each work is intimate yet expansive, and grounded in a profound commitment to craft, place, and legacy.

Looking back on last week’s guided visit of INNATA with Alfredo Moreira da Silva, we thank those who joined us.

Over the course of the evening, the artist led the group through the exhibition, answering questions and sharing the philosophy behind his work: an inner landscape that invites us to step into nature and to return to what is innate in us.

INNATA is on view until 30 June, Tuesday to Friday 11h–17h and Saturday 13h–17h. We invite you to spend time with the work at your own pace. For a private visit with the artist, write to us by email or direct message.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of INNATA, by Alfredo Moreira da Silva. It was a joy to open this exhibition in your company.

Next Tuesday, 2 June at 19:00, we are holding a guided visit with the artist, open to the public. 🗓️

On Saturdays, open house from 13:00 to 17:00.

Territory is not only land. It is memory, breath, horizon, and belonging.

In this exhibition, Alfredo Moreira da Silva reveals territory as layered poetry, where geography becomes emotion and landscape becomes shared experience. From coastlines to cities, forests to night skies, his work invites us into a quieter way of seeing, one rooted in care, reverence, and responsibility.

Because belonging is not possession. It is presence. And territory, at its most sacred, is both home and horizon. 🤍
