Taylor from Roam Away From Home (also one of our festival committee members) teamed up with her Portuguese instructor to offer a free online beginners Portuguese class tomorrow that's all about LIVE MUSIC, CONCERTS, & FESTIVALS!

It'll be on YouTube Live June 18th at 7pm Portugal time (11am PT/ 2pm ET)

This lesson was customized for people attending Eyes of the Algarve to learn:

-basic concert vocabulary (and pronunciation)
-critical questions you'd ask at shows
-how to make friends and chat about the music
-encore in Portuguese!

How does it work?

-You fill out the Google Form
-Ticket holders that no longer can attend the cruise reach out to us asking about reselling their boat tickets
-We connect ticket holders to people seeking tickets in the order of when they filled out the Google form
-Ticket holder and ticket seeker work out payment and transfer of tickets on their end (we can confirm validity of ticket, but you handle the transaction)
-We all get to dance and mingle on a Catamaran sunset cruise with fellow Deadheads

🎶 Los Pissarros

Los Pissarros is an international music project led by the Portuguese singer and songwriter Cecília Pissarro, bringing together musicians from different backgrounds and artistic languages. United by a shared passion for authentic music creations and performances, the group explores styles such as soul, latin rhythms, R&B, jazz, funk and rock, delivering a bold and dynamic sound.

The band features the Italian guitarist William Mastroni, whose classical training and experience in jazz, blues, and musical theatre contribute to a rich and versatile approach; Irish percussionist Jonathan Gornall, with a rhythmic sensitivity shaped by traditional music; and Mozambican bassist Suleimane Ibraimo, who brings his groove all the way from Maputo, with influences ranging from jazz and bossa nova to rock and blues.

An electrifying live experience where cultures merge and authenticity comes alive on stage.
