Where history, w**e, and contemporary art intertw**e🍷

Finally, I can share my very first miniature as a piece of wearable art.

As someone who mostly works in fiber art, this feels like a new and exciting direction for me. Every tiny detail demanded patience, bringing together materials that don't naturally belong together, dried palm leaf transformed into delicate lace, intricate threads, and tiny glass beads that catch the light with the softest shimmer.

Technically, there are still things I want to refine, but every new experiment teaches me something. But that's just a part of the process.

'Hugs'
Touch, as one of the important senses, can transform our experiences in space in a very unexpected manner. Sometimes, it seems that with tactile contact, you are either blown apart or deformed in a strange way.

Art'In Lima. Museu dos Terceiros.

This is a truly fascinating place, woven from a labyrinth of charming rooms and long corridors. It’s easy to lose your bearings here, but that very feeling of being "lost" somehow helps you connect with contemporary art on a deeper level. I absolutely love how my pieces interact with this historic venue.

Admittedly, the labyrinth turned out to be textual as well as spatial.. my last name managed to get misspelled on absolutely every single label 🤔 It was a bit frustrating. But then I thought: perhaps in a place with so much history, everyone is entitled to a new, fictional identity? 😄

Let’s just call it my art pseudonym for this season. Be sure to visit, immerse yourself in the atmosphere, and find my works tucked away in these monastic corridors.
