Sometimes, all it takes is one special moment to start a great tradition.
Oktoberfest is a perfect example. What started as a wedding celebration in Munich grew into a tradition that has lasted for more than 200 years.
And here’s a fun detail: despite its name, Oktoberfest actually takes place mainly in September. The festival was moved to an earlier date because the weather is better for outdoor celebrations — but the original name was kept as a tribute to the tradition.
So while Oktoberfest is happening again this September, we’re taking a look at how it all began — and what makes this festival so much more than its name suggests🇩🇪
Because in the end, it’s the music, the atmosphere, the people and those special moments that turn a celebration into something unforgettable.
That’s exactly what we love creating at ArtGoArt — helping you find artists for festivals and special events.
What makes a festival for you — the music, the artists or the atmosphere?
