This October, we're inviting young people aged 8 and up to discover what happens when they step onto the stage. Not to become actors necessarily, but to find their voice, trust their instincts, and learn that self-expression is a skill worth developing.
𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑝 𝑐𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠:
The session runs for two hours and moves through a carefully designed progression. We start with warm-ups that help everyone feel present and comfortable. From there, we work on voice, not just speaking louder, but speaking with intention. Movement exercises help participants understand how the body communicates, often before words do.
The second half focuses on storytelling and improvisation, where young people learn to think on their feet and collaborate. The workshop culminates in small group performances, short scenes created and presented by the participants themselves.
𝑊ℎ𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟:
No prior experience is required. This workshop is designed for young people who are curious, willing to try something new, or looking for a creative outlet beyond the usual activities. Some will be naturally outgoing; others may be quieter. Both benefit equally.
