Handmade Orchestra The Handmade Orchestra in Łódź is aimed to create a multilevel musical event engaging amateur mus Welcome to Handmade Orchestra!

In December 2012 more than 30 volunteers from entire Europe met in the city of Łódź (Poland). Being the part of “220 Volt” project 8 groups were formed to initiate different cultural projects in the center of Łódź in the middle of July. Thus, the Handmade Orchestra was born! Our project aim is to engage local people in their own communal music feast starting with creating their own instruments and

playing them themselves afterwards. The Handmade Orchestra is a two-stage event consisting of:
- workshops of how to make and play simple handmade instruments
- the main performance of the invited band in cooperation with non-professional musicians. Our partner - a Ukrainian band “Vodaband” - will be guiding the people on the first day and create a musical event on the second day. 34 osoby, 8 projektów,3 dni na ul. Piotrkowskiej i w parku Staromiejskim. W najbliższy weekend grupa młodych Europejczyków postara się zmienić obraz centrum Łodzi: stworzą samowystarczalny ogród, zbudują wyjątkowy plac zabaw i wrócą na chwilę do czasów PRL
