SACHET WATER PRICE REMAINS UNCHANGED
The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness & Industry wishes to commend Ghana Plastic Manufacturers Association (GPMA) and
the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers
(NASPAWAP) for their cooperation and suspending the planned price adjustment that was to take effect today, Monday, 6th April 2026.
This decision reflects our commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring market stability.
The Ministry, hereby, assures the public that the price of sachet water will not increase today. Consumers can continue to purchase sachet water at the current price.

RELEASE OF PROVISIONAL RESULTS FOR THE WEST AFRICAN SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (WASSCE)
FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES, 2026 - FIRST SERIES
The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform its numerous publics that it has released provisional results of candidates who sat the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2026 - First Series. The entry figure comprises 9,980 males and 13,430 females. A total of 746 candidates who registered for the examination were absent.
The results are avallable online at www.waecgh.org
The Council detected some malpractices during the conduct of the examination and during the marking exercise. In view of that the subject results of 76 and the entire results of 87 candidates have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations

Two Ghanaian soldiers crìtically injured after mìssile sttack on UN Peacekeeping base in Lebanon

The Ghana Armed Forces has confirmed that its battalion position in southern Lebanon came under mìssile àttack amid the ongoing clàshes between the Israel Defense Forces and Hezbollah.

According to the military, the Ghanaian battalion headquarters serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon was strùck by two mìssiles within minutes.

“Two soldiers are critìcally injùred, while another has been traùmatised,” the statement said.

The attàck also destr0yed the Officers’ Mess at the base.

The injured personnel are currently receiving treatment and are said to be stable, with plans underway to evacuate them to the UNIFIL referral hospital.
