MontBlanc Mozart 114 King Ramses the Second Fountain Pen with Chain.
18K Medium Nib
Rarely does a pen of this magnanimous magnitude comes out way, complete with artisan certificate, a gold chain and a beautiful black box. The nib is 18k delivers an ample amount of ink. The barrel is Sterling Silver Vermeil, stamped just proximal to the barrel finial. The godron Pinstripe lines are a bit further apart compared to the montblanc silver pinstripe versions. Cap is made entirely of Lapis Lazuli, a stone found only in Afghanistan. It's a blue stone with golden specks, almost like a stary sky.
There is no clip. No clip. But a long gold chain with two lapis lazuli stones. The chain has a ring which screws into the threads on the cap finial. This allows the pen to hang around the neck. I was apprehensive putting on the necklace as I feared the pen might fall. But, it's a secure hold...hasn't fallen yet.
The pen is heavier than the other Mozart 114s I have used, and is most comfortable for long writing sessions.
