Explaining basics
Parts of Speech
Noun – Names a person, place, thing, or idea (John, city, table).
Verb – Action or state of being (run, eat, is).
Adjective – Describes a noun (big, red, happy).
Adverb – Describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb (quickly, very, well).
Pronoun – Replaces a noun (he, she, they).
Preposition – Shows position or direction (on, under, beside).
Conjunction – Connects words or sentences (and, but, or).
Interjection – Expresses emotion (Wow! Oh! Ouch!).
2. Sentence Structure
A simple sentence has Subject + Verb + Object:
Example: "The boy eats an apple."
Subject: The boy
Verb: eats
Object: an apple
3. Tenses
Present: She eats an apple.
Past: She ate an apple.
Future: She will eat an apple.
4. Prepositions (Show location or direction)
The cat is on the table.
The cat is under the table.
The cat is beside the table.
5. Articles (A, An, The)
A – Used before consonant sounds (a dog).
An – Used before vowel sounds (an apple).
The – Used for specific things (the sun).
6. Question Words
Who – Person (Who is she?).
What – Thing (What is this?).
When – Time (When is the meeting?).
Where – Place (Where do you live?).
Why – Reason (Why are you late?).
How – Manner (How does it work?).
