پورے ضلع کرم کو ٹک ٹاکرز دہشتگردوں نے یرغمال کر کے رکھا ہے ۔ جب امن کے نعروں کے پیچھے سیاسی مفادات ہو ، تو پھر ان دہشتگردوں کو کوئی لگام نہیں دے سکتا ۔

Sepoy (later Naib Subedar) Ali Haider VC (1914-1999) was born in Shahu Khel, Kohat and served with the 6/13th Frontier Force Rifles (presently, 1FF Battalion of Pakistan Army) In 1945 he won a Victoria Cross in the second World War. His unit was asked to clear the German 10th Army out of the Italian peninsula near Fusigano. He displayed immense courage and bravery by singlehandedly charging and neutralising multiple German posts despite being severely wounded in the back. As a result, his battalion was able to capture 3 officers and 217 other ranks and attain its objectives.

He was decorated with a Victoria Cross by King George VI at Buckingham Palace on 30th October 1945

He died in his village at Kohat, Pakistan aged 85 in 1999.
