Safe and Informed Migration

The Vocational Counseling and Job Placement Office at GPI Mardan organized an informative seminar on Safe and Informed Migration on date

In collaboration with Migrant Resource Centre Pakistan
- Legal migration pathways
- How to avoid scams and frauds in overseas employment
- Raising awareness about the dangers of Human trafficking and smuggling
- Importance of moving abroad through safe and legal channels
Migrant Resource Centre's (MRCs) Pakistan, which is working under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development (MOPHRD) Islamabad, Labor and Human Resource Department Government of Punjab (L&HRD) in Lahore, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa MRC Pakistan operates from Protectorate of Emigrants office Peshawar.

These centres were established as part of the "Support to the Silk Routes Partnership for Migration" with project title: "PROTECT. Main objectives of MRC Pakistan are,

To provide clear, accessible, and understandable information to the students on safe, legal, and orderly migration, including rules and regulations.
To inform the students about the benefits of safe migration and hazards of irregular migration.
To raise awareness about the services being provided by MRC.
The session will enable the students,

To know the legal platform for searching foreign jobs.
To know the BEOE and its function.
To Identify and verify the status of recruitment agencies
