Assam’s flood situation is slowly improving as water levels begin to recede in several districts, but the devastating impact continues to affect thousands of lives. The disaster has claimed 68 lives, while over 5.24 lakh people remain affected across the state. Many families are still displaced, staying in relief camps as villages remain submerged and agricultural land faces major losses. Rescue teams, including the Army, NDRF, SDRF, and local authorities, are working to provide assistance and restore essential services. The next challenge is rebuilding homes, restoring livelihoods, and helping communities recover from one of Assam’s worst flood disasters.
