here are two critical stages that determine the success of any project.
1. The Planning Brief (Office Stage)
This is where the foundation is laid. Gathering all the necessary documents, understanding adjacent parcels, and planning who to involve — whether it’s the area chief, neighbours, or other stakeholders. This stage also includes preparing the right instruments for the job. For instance, an RTK is ideal for large areas, while a total station is more effective for precise setting out. Choosing the right tool at this point sets the tone for success.
2. The Ground Reality (Field Stage)
No matter how thorough the preparation, the ground always has the final say. A surveyor may come with expectations, but the realities on-site often reshape the entire approach. That’s why we always say: “The ground is final.”
If these two stages are not handled carefully, even the most promising project can face setbacks. But when managed well, they ensure accuracy, efficiency, and trust in the results.
👉 If you are planning to buy, develop, or subdivide land, consult a professional surveyor first. The right process at the right stage saves you time, money, and future disputes.
