جو روٹھو تم تو مناتا ہوں میں، اگر میں روٹھا مناؤ گے کیا؟
میں ملنے آیا تو زخم سارے بُھلا کے تم مُسکراؤ گے کیا؟

عجیب لگتا ہے سننے میں تو ، کہ باتیں سب بھول جانا ہوں گی
جو خط ہیں میرے تمہارے کمرے میں ، اُن کو اب تم جلاؤ گے کیا؟

تمہارے پہلو میں شب گزاریں ،ہوں میرے دن بھی یہ سب تمہارے
گر اس طرح کا ہو خواب میرا تو نیند سے تم جگاؤ گے کیا؟

ہے یاد مجھ کو کہ پیار تھا جب، تو اُس میں شدت بھی تم ہی لائے
یہ فاصلے بڑھ چلے ہیں اب جو ، انہیں بھی تم اب بڑھاؤ گے کیا؟

گھنا سا جنگل ہے دل یہ میرا، جہاں سے ہر کوئی دور بھاگے
یہاں جو دل نہ لگا تمہارا ، تو دل کو پھر بھی لگاؤ گے کیا؟

اگر ہو آنے میں دیر تھوڑی کہ رستہ دشوار ہو زیادہ
تو میری خاطر دیے امیدوں کے رات بھر تم جلاؤ گے کیا؟

زخم ہے تازہ، قدم ہیں بھاری ، سُکون شب بھر نہیں ہے سالِم
جو تم سے میں نے یہ کی ہے دِل کی، یہ بات اس کو بتاؤ گے کیا؟
