**پی آئی اے نے مالدیپ کے لیے جلد براہِ راست پروازیں شروع کرنے کا اعلان کر دیا ہے، جن کا آغاز نئے طیاروں کی آمد کے ساتھ متوقع ہے۔**

مالدیپ کی نیشنل اسمبلی کے سپیکر عبد الرحیم عبداللہ کی قیادت میں اعلیٰ سطحی سرکاری وفد نے پی آئی اے ہیڈ آفس کا دورہ کیا، جہاں سی ای او پی آئی اے ایئر وائس مارشل عامر حیات نے وفد کا استقبال کیا۔ ملاقات میں پاکستان اور مالدیپ کے درمیان براہِ راست فضائی رابطے، سیاحت، تجارت اور عوامی روابط کے فروغ پر تفصیلی گفتگو ہوئی۔

پی آئی اے کے سی ای او نے یقین دہانی کرائی کہ نئے طیارے فضائی بیڑے میں شامل ہوتے ہی مالدیپ کے لیے براہِ راست پروازیں شروع کر دی جائیں گی، جس سے دونوں ممالک کے درمیان سفری اور تجارتی روابط مزید بہتر ہونے کی توقع ہے۔

The NHA told a National Assembly standing committee that construction of the long-delayed Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway (M-6) is scheduled to start in November 2026.

Spanning 306 kilometres with six lanes, the motorway will fill the gap between the M-9 and M-5 motorways. The project comprises five sections at an estimated cost of about Rs359 billion.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has approved Saudi Arabia’s request for “defensive” air-to-air refueling support amid ongoing Houthi att_acks.

Under the arrangement, the Royal Air Force will deploy a Voyager refueling aircraft to Saudi Arabia for a limited period.

Pakistan’s oil and gas reserves have increased following new discoveries and additions to existing fields.

Oil reserves rose 15% year-on-year to 276 million barrels by June 2026, while gas reserves increased 9% to 20,664 billion cubic feet. Newly discovered fields added 53.52 million barrels of oil and 772.97 Bcf of gas to the country’s resource base.

According to an Arif Habib Limited report, Pakistan’s overall hydrocarbon reserve life has improved to around 19 years, compared with around 15 years in June 2024 and June 2023.

The figures highlight the contribution of new discoveries to Pakistan’s energy resources.
