Dr. Farooq Ahmed Chachar, Alias, Dr. Ahmed Farooq Indus, is an emerging scholar and distinguished biologist who hails from Taluka Pano Akil, District Sukkur. A committed educationist, biologist, govt servant, agriculturist, life coach, climate activist, water guy and an untouched resistant blog writer. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Karachi. His research focuses on climate-smart crops aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and ensuring national food security.
Dr. Indus earned his MPhil in Biological Sciences with distinction from the University of Karachi. Since 2024, he has been serving as a Specialist BPS-17 in the Education Department, Government of Sindh. In addition, he has contributed as a visiting faculty member at various reputable institutions and a university over the past three years.
His academic journey began in his hometown, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Karachi and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Khairpur SALU. He then pursued his MPhil and PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Karachi. His scholarly path reflects consistent excellence and a deep commitment to addressing biological, social environmental, and climatic challenges through scientific innovation.
Over the years, Farooq Ahmed has gained valuable teaching experience at several reputable institutions. He was selected as an Entomologist BPS-17 through FPSC in 2020, appointed at Herbion in 2022, won PhD Scholarship Program for China and later selected as a Lecturer BPS-17 through SPSC in 2024, among other notable achievements. Through his expertise and dedication, he continues to inspire students and contribute meaningfully to the field of biological sciences.
Currently, Dr. Indus stands at a defining moment of his life—living the dream that he and his parents nurtured and cherished for more than a decade. Reflecting his gratitude and humility, he expresses:

He reflects that the journey was far from easy. From the very first day to the moment of unofficially completing his PhD, it has been an emotionally profound experience—one that overshadowed countless days and nights of struggle, perseverance, and self-motivation. With humility, he acknowledges that every moment of hardship has ultimately borne fruit, bringing pride to his parents with each achievement.
Summarizing his journey, he shares a simple yet powerful message: Keep chasing your dreams, and never let anyone dull your sparkle.
He further expresses his gratitude in heartfelt words:

At a remarkably young age and with a humble educational background, Dr. Indus has achieved what is widely regarded as one of the most challenging academic milestones in the country—a PhD, which he has unofficially completed. The realization of being among the youngest PhD scholars in Sindh initially felt surreal to him, as though it were a dream. However, he soon recognized that this long-cherished aspiration had indeed become a reality, marking the successful culmination of years of dedication and perseverance.
Deeply honored by the Almighty’s immense blessings, Dr. Indus acknowledges the pivotal role of his parents, whose unwavering belief in him enabled him to overcome every obstacle throughout this demanding academic journey. He also expresses sincere gratitude to his teachers and friends, whose trust and continuous support contributed to his success.
From a small town to metropolitan Karachi, he carried dreams, uncertainty, and hope. Today, through perseverance, he stood as an established individual.
He struggles to find words that could ably pay gratitude to “the loved ones” for their indispensable contributions, unwavering support, ceaseless encouragement, indomitable spirit, adoration, and an unyielding love throughout this long arduous academic journey that has brought him this far.
He expresses, life is all about struggle, and indeed success comes with an ordeal. Hard labour never goes unrewarded. When things look black, there is always a silver lining.
Moving forward, if one genuinely has a quest for knowledge and passion for excellence from now on, one must restart oneself. If he can diligently pursue it from nowhere to somewhere, from nothingness to greatness, and from adversity to excellence, others too could achieve their cherished dreams as well, with dedication, consistency, perseverance, and tenaciousness. Tersely putting, seek guidance from these exhilarating lines.

Fast forward to himself, he had never imagined reaching this point—from government schools and now finding himself here. It was merely a dream. From altogether different places and now finding himself here, competing among the best and striving to be the best. Just pure hard work carved his path his way. Standing here, he is seeking something greater, something more challenging. Never bent, always following his own path. Continuing to push the limits, leaving behind a legacy while never looking back. In this moment of transition, he embraces the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
