My Journey: From 3rd Grade to a High School Teacher
"With determination, a person can turn dust into gold."
My story doesn’t start with a degree; it begins with a passion. I was born into a poor family, and due to financial hardships, I could only complete three grades of formal schooling. My education stopped, but my thirst for learning never did.
I remember the time when smartphones weren't common. I began teaching myself how to read and form words using a simple keypad mobile phone. I read every book I could find. In 2017, through sheer hard work, I cleared my 8th-grade exams and was hired as a teacher under an NGO project. By the grace of Allah, the person who once couldn't afford to go to school led his school to the 1st position among 500 schools.
When political changes occurred and the project ended, I didn't give up. I did manual labor and worked as a clerk (Munshi), but I never stopped teaching. Today, I teach 10th-grade students and, alongside that, I serve the poor children of my village—children who have no shoes, no books, and no roof over their heads.
Today, I hold a 10th-grade certificate and years of experience. My message to the youth of my region is this:
"No matter how difficult the circumstances, if you have the will to learn, no power in the world can stop you from moving forward."
