CANVAS AT LUZON ART FAIR ‘24

Last October 6, 2024, the Castillejos Association of Neoclassical Visual Arts Specialists (CANVAS) has been invited to the Luzon Art Fair at Diwa ng Tarlac, Tarlac City to explore and be amazed with the artworks of different artists from all over Luzon.

As the CANVAS continues to thrive for more and carry on with their mission to support the visual artists of Castillejos, especially the young and new ones, another door opened for them, ensuring that they can be more active with regional events like the Luzon Art Fair. With the help of many personalities, the organization has yet again experienced a thrilling activity that can lead to its success. The guidance and support of the CANVAS Executive Officers, especially Ms. Celine Dominique R. Manarpaac, CANVAS President and Ms. Rhianna Pauline T. Samonte, CANVAS Treasurer, has also made a big contribution to this particular event. Special thanks to Governor Hermogenes Ebdane, Congressman Jay F. Khonghun, Mayor Jeffrey D. Khonghun, Vice Mayor Christian T. Esposo, Councilor Voltaire Avera, Hon. Ramon T. Valdez, Municipal Tourism Officer Marcelo Luna, Sir Megs Empinado, and Olongapo Zambales Artists (OZA) for their unwavering support to the organization and its artists, along with Dr. Efreign Earl N. Villanueva, the CANVAS Founder, who founded the organization, enabling artists to explore and experience more with the artist life.

This year’s Luzon Art Fair has opened opportunities and set off the hidden creativity of the artists. The Art Fair can be a stepping stone for CANVAS to another chapter that can make Zambales a home to great artists.

February is National Arts Month — Bannering the theme "Ani ng Sining, Bayang Malikhain". National Arts Month 2024 (NAM) aims to outline the notion that the bountiful harvest of a Filipino creative nation is derived from collective human imagination, not just individual aspirations. This year's National Arts Month celebration aims to harness the creative energiez of artists towards nation-building, integrate the arts into the lives of diverse populations and communities (LGBTQIA+, PWD, IP, Youth, Senior, etc.), and engage critical discourse, awareness, and appreciation of various arts and art disciplines through different emerging platforms.

NOVEMBER 10, 2023 The Oathtaking of all the Clubs in Castillejos National High School was celebrated.

The Castillejos Association Of Neo-Classical Visual Arts Specialists (CANVAS) is an educational organization founded in 2014 by Dr. Efreign Earl N. Villanueva. It primarily consists of young artists from Castillejos National High School and aims to become the leading organization for visual artists in the town.

CANVAS welcomes all citizens of Castillejos who have a passion for art and a talent for drawing, as well as those who wish to learn. The organization embraces both traditional and modern drawing techniques, including digital arts.

CANVAS provides a platform for its members to freely express their emotions through their artwork, resulting in a diverse range of images.

Additionally, CANVAS is committed to making a positive impact on the community, reflecting its colorful minds, creative hands, and caring heart.An organization that will color the dreams of budding artists in the town of Castillejos.

OKTUBRE 28, 2023 ipinagdiriwang ang Luzon Art Fair Excursion 2023 sa Tarlac City.

Isang kalugod-lugod at masayang araw ito para sa ating mga batang pintor ng CANVAS at iba pang mga pintor mula sa iba't ibang lugar na dumalo sa pagdiriwang ito. Punong-puno ito ng mga likhang sining ng ating mga pintor sa iba't ibang lugar sa Pilipinas. Nakapagbukas ito ng mga mata ng ating mga batang pintor sa mga iba't ibang kaalaman patungkol sa larangan ng likhang sining. Taos pusong pasasalamat sa mahal na mayor ng Olongapo na si Lenj C. Paulino, mga Olongapo Zambales Artists (OZA) , Sir Megs Empinado, Sir William Matawaran, Sir Francis Garcia, at Sir Efreign Earl Villanueva na binigyan ang mga C.A.N.V.A.S. Student-Artists na makita at hikayatin na mag pursigi sa paglikha ng mga likhang sining na maaring balang araw ay makasama sila sa mga ganitong exhibits. Hoping for more events, shows, and exhibitions like this in the future!

Kahapon (March 11, 2023) sinimulan ang proyektong Lakbay Sining Project na naglayong bigyan ng busog na kaalaman ang mga batang artists sa larangan ng Sining at Kasaysayan.

Ang 11 batang benepisyaryo ng inisyatibang ito ay nagpunta sa Luneta Park, National Museum of the Philippines Fine Arts, at Fort Santiago upang ipakilala sakanila ang kwento ng ating bayan at ang mga obra ng ating mga tanyag na Filipino Visual Artists.

Ang kanilang huling destinasyon ay ang Hotel Lucky Chinatown kung saan idinaos ang "JUANA: Kababaihan sa Bawat Panahon" Art Exhibition kung saan 6 sa batang mga artists ang kasali.

Taos pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng nagpaabot ng tulong para sa proyektong ito. Ang Lakbay Sining Project ay naglalayong mapalaki pa ang mga benipisyaryo nito at libutin ang mga komunidad upang ipalaganap ang sining sa ating mga kabataan.

Sa susunod na paglalakbay ng ating Lakbay Sining Project, nawa'y kasama pa rin namin kayo sa aming biyahe!

Ang Lakbay Sining Project ay naglalayong tulungan ang mga batang artists ng Castillejos para sakanilang pagpaaunlad ng kanilang kakayahan sa sining biswal.

Kumakalap ang organization ng Php20,500.00 kabuuang pondo para sa proyektong ito.

Malugod po kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng sumuporta sa proyektong ito. Makakaasa kayo na hindi masasayang ang inyong tulong para maisagawa itong inisyatibang ito.

Bilang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng mga Kababaihan, ang CANVAS ay makikilahok sa gaganaping eksibisyon sa Hotel Lucky Chinatown sa ika-11 ng Marso 2023. Ang eksibisyon ay pinamagatang, "JUANA: Kababaihan sa Bawat Panahon".

Ating sariwain at bigyan pugay ang mga natatanging ambag ng ating mga kababaihan sa SINING at sa lipunan.
