THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS HONOR, TARLAC!

CCP President and NCCA Chairman Arsenio 'Nick' Lizaso recently receives a Plaque of Appreciation from the Provincial Government of Tarlac, for his invaluable contribution to the success of the 149th Founding Anniversary of the province. Tarlac Governor Hon. Susan Yap personally awards the plaque to Mr. Lizaso today, during the 2022 Oathtaking Ceremonies of Newly-Elected Officials of Tarlac, being held at Bulwagang Kanlahi, Diwa ng Tarlac.

CCP provided its support to the province, through BANDA RITO, BANDA ROON, which was a collaboration with Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT) and Philbanda. CCP also expressed its assistance to 'TATAK TARLAC.'

CCP SUCCESSFULLY CAPPED OFF THE MONTH OF JUNE WITH 'GABI NG KULTURANG PILIPINO' IN PALAWAN!

CCP found its way to the beautiful province of Palawan as it successfully staged 'Gabi ng Kulturang Pilipino: Bayanihan at Palawan' last June 25 & 26 at the PGP (Provincial Government of Palawan) Convention Center!

The country's pride, the Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company, gave an astounding show to the Palaweños, as they showcased the best of Philippine dances. Every performance drew in loud applause from the audiences, both onsite and online (the show was also streamed live via the CCP Office of the President page).

We would like to express our gratitude to the Provincial Government of Palawan, headed by Gov. Jose Ch. Alvarez, as well as Vice Governor Victorino Dennis M. Socrates, all Provincial Board Officials, and the 23 Municipalities of Palawan, for making this event possible. Special mention to Mr. Ceasar Sammy A. Magbanua, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Governor and Over- all Chairman of the Baragatan Festival Execom.

Lastly, thank you to the Palaweño Bayanihan Alumni for their artistry and unparalleled support.

OUR PANDEMIC HEROES GET THEIR DUE RECOGNITION!

President Rodrigo Duterte led the conferement of the Presidential Awards to Cabinet Secretaries, IATF Members, and Medical Experts last June 16 at the Malacañang Palace. Some of the attendees include Senator B**g Go, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, CCP President and NCCA Chairman Arsenio 'Nick' Lizaso and CCP Chairperson Margie Moran.

The highly-coveted award is given to select individuals who made significant contributions in responding to the needs of the Filipinos during the height of the pandemic.

ISANG PAGPUPUGAY SA MGA BAGONG PAMBANSANG ALAGAD NG SINING!

Eight (8 exemplary artists have finally been conferred with the Order of National Artist at the Malacañang Palace last June 16. President Rodrigo Duterte led the conferment, while CCP President and NCCA Chairman Arsenio 'Nick' Lizaso was also in attendance to personally witness the momentous event.

The new set of National Artists include Agnes Locsin (Dance), Ricardo Lee (Film and Broadcast Arts), Gemino Abad (Literature), Fides Cuyugan-Asensio (Music), and Nora Aunor (Film and Broadcast Arts), Salvacion Lim Higgins (Fashion), Marilou Diaz-Abaya (Film and Broadcast Arts), and Antonio ‘Tony’ Mabesa (Theater). Higgins, Diaz-Abaya, and Mabesa received the award posthumously.

Apart from Mr. Lizaso, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and CCP Chairperson Maria Margarita Moran-Florendo also attended the conferment.
