“PAGLAHUTAY” is a textured reflection of the emotional layers that love etches into the human soul. It explores the complexities of romantic relationships; the beauty, the fractures, the passion, and the pain. Through the interplay of dark tones, vivid strokes of bronze, and coarse textures, this piece captures the emotional turbulence we endure for love and the strength we often discover because of it.

Love is not always gentle. At times, it feels like chaos, burning bright, breaking us open, then forging us into something stronger. The cracks and contrasts in this work represent the moments when love tests us: distance, loss, vulnerability, miscommunication, and healing. Yet through each trial, we grow. We adapt. We stay soft where it matters and tough where it’s needed.

Artist’s Note
“Gitalikdan” is a deeply personal piece that reflects the artist own experience of exclusion in a world where he once felt he belonged. The vibrant, textured figures represent the friendships and connections he once had, a space where he was once part of the whole. But as time passed and personal ambitions took their course, he found himself set apart—represented by the lone black figure in the painting. What was once a familiar and welcoming crowd became distant, leaving him to navigate the weight of being pushed away.
To anyone who has ever felt excluded, know that you are not alone. Growth often comes with change, and sometimes, that means losing people along the way. But solitude is not emptiness, it is a space to rediscover yourself, to find new paths, and to build something even stronger. The world may feel different now, but it is also full of new beginnings. Keep moving forward, and in time, you will find the place where you truly belong.
