Who am I that you would care?
You took my place, my sin you bear.
What a grace I have received—
I was dead but now I live,
By Jesus Christ who rose from the grave.

Jesus' blood washed my sin,
I am cleaned, no stain remains.
He takes away my guilt and shame.
I am healed in Jesus' name.

Once I was chained but now I'm free.
My eyes were blind but now I see.
I once was lost but now I'm found.
In Jesus Christ my life is bound.

I'll worship Him for who He is.
Lifting my hands to the highest.
With every breath I'll sing His praise.
Forever grateful all my days.

Not every battle is fought with swords or defenses. Not every warrior wears armor or carries a shield. And victory doesn't always come from strength, skill, or strategy. More often, it's through humility and complete trust in God that we overcome the battles life throws our way.

In this life, we often face battles that can't be seen with the naked eye; silent struggles like problems, suffering, and hard situations—often caused by our past wrong decisions or naturally come into our lives. God is not an evil God who is satisfied to see people suffer. His heart is for us to live in abundance with joy, peace, and purpose. At times, He allows storms to enter our lives not to break us, but to build us. Not to make us suffer, but to shape our faith and teach us to lean on Him more than ever before.

When problems come into our lives, our first response should be to seek God, not panic. Our emotions and reactions are normal in situations like these, as we are human. But, we should not allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by fear. Instead, we must face our battles with faith in God. Seeking the Lord in times of difficulty is also an act of humility, admitting our weaknesses before God and recognizing that it is only through His strength that we can face and overcome our problems.

When fear rises and negative thoughts grow in our hearts and minds, let us hold on to the Word of God. His Word and His promises are true and reliable—bringing us comfort, hope, and peace even in the midst of life's battles. We can face every trial with confidence, knowing we are not fighting alone. God is with us, and the battle belongs to Him—giving us the assurance of victory when we place our trust in Him.

One day I found myself in the garden. Rain had kissed the earth for many days and I went to check on my plants, especially my rescued bougainvillea. When I first replanted it, its trunk was a fragile thing— gnawed by termites. I thought it wouldn't survive since the termites continued to eat away at it and its trunk was still rotting. Worms had made their home in its dying wood, and I prepared my heart for its loss.

But then, I saw amidst the dying trunk a new life emerged. Its stems grew, leaves multiplied, and new ones appeared. My bougainvillea, with a heart of decay—chose to grow. It taught me a profound lesson: that in life, we too must be like this magnificent plant. Our struggles, our suffering, and our heartaches may try to consume us from within, but they do not have to be our end.

When our foundations are crumbling, we can still choose to grow. Sending new stems toward the light and reaching for a future filled with life. The bougainvillea's whisper is a gentle reminder to always, always aim for growth.
